Regional Waste Strategy
The Yorkshire and Humber region has one of the worst records for waste in the UK and Europe. ‘Let’s take it from the Tip’ sets out how the YHA aim to reduce waste, encourage more recycling and composting – including new businesses in this area – and increase awareness among the general public about their role.
A survey of companies involved in construction and demolition waste has been completed that investigates how much recycling is currently undertaken by the companies, what the opportunities are to more and what support is needed to make this happen.
Research to look at recycling of construction and demolition waste is also underway.
At District level Bradford produces a Municipal Waste Management Strategy. |
