West Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority
West Yorkshire Strategic Health Authority was set up in April 2002 and is the headquarters of the NHS in West Yorkshire. They provide the link between the Department of Health and the 25 local NHS organisations in the region, such as hospital trusts, primary care trusts and mental health trusts. Their role is to improve services for patients, ensure sound finances and secure the public’s confidence in the NHS in West Yorkshire. |
