The decided fate of Manchesters super casino will fall under the remit of MP James Purnell (Stalybridge & Hyde), the Culture, Media and Sport Secretary.
Transport Secretary, and Bolton West MP Ruth Kelly will decide whether Greater Manchester gets the money from the Transport innovation fund to pay for the Metrolink expansion in exchange for a congestion charging scheme.
The Prime Ministers top team also includes Chief Secretary to the treasury, MP Andy Burnham (Leigh) and Salford MP Hazel Blears who is Communities and Local Government Secretary. Minister for Children and Youth Justice Beverley Hughes (Stretford and Urnston), will attend cabinet Meetings.
It is expected other local MP’s including Phil Woolas (Oldam East and Saddleworth) will also be joining the Brown Government.
