The national Audit office today published a report entitled "Mind the Gap" that explores the disparities between the regional performance of English regions.
It identifies six key drivers it believes
are key to improving performance - employment, skills,
investment, innovation, enterprise and competition. It explains the target the Government has
set for reducing regional disparities in
economic performance sets out data on recent trends in regional economic performance and considers the impact of each driver.
