On 15th of December, Experian delivered a presentation to the Regional Econometric Model User Group, outlining their most up-to-date regional (and sub-regional) forecasts.
The outlook for the region is for a considerable slow-down of growth compared with recent years. The regional GVA tables recently published by the Office for National Statistics provide evidence that the slow-down has already begun.
Experian also forecast the Humber’s output growth to be the lowest of the four sub-regions in Y&H, and full time employment in Hull is forecast to decline between 2005 and 2020 compared with growth from 1988 to 2004 and forecast growth for Bradford, Sheffield and Leeds.
These forecasts do not take into account any growth scenarios from City Region Development Plans.
